Rita Santamaria started her real estate career in Plano, Texas as a real estate broker and then moved to Houston, Texas in the early 1980’s. Upon moving to Houston, she quickly realized there really was not a place for real estate agents to go and receive quality real estate education. So in 1983, she opened Champions School of Real Estate and proceeded to build what is widely recognized as the top real estate school in Texas. She wrote and designed the courses, counseled and registered students, served coffee and doughnuts and then taught the students the material. Twenty-five years and six statewide campuses later, Champions School of Real Estate trains over 45,000 students per year. 

With her love of real estate and a degree in Education from Florida State University, Rita Santamaria understood the intricate process of developing curriculum for those desiring to enter a new profession as well as meet the needs of those real estate agents who are required to maintain a license through the state. The curriculum she developed was fresh and new and focused on the things that were most relevant to the day-to-day activities of real estate agents careers. What started out as a school for real estate agents quickly expanded into other fields within the real estate community. Champions School of Real Estate began offering pre-licensing and continuing education courses in the Loan Officer/Mortgage Brokers, Professional Home Inspection and Appraisal fields and still does so today. Classes for all licenses are offered seven days a week with day, evening and weekend schedules available. Students can choose from live classroom, correspondence or online.
